I live in flip flops. I have lots of them. In fact, I was online buying my favorite Lands End flip flops that I buy every summer and to my horror they didn't have them anymore. Thankfully they had them on their clearance page, so I bought six pair in different colors.
I don't like the rubber ones, don't like the Crocs either, they give me blisters.
I am either in flip flops or sneakers. I don't work, so no need to wear heels or dress shoes. In fact, even for church on Sunday I have managed to have dressy flip flops, like nice burnished leather or some that are patent leather with rhinestones .
By the way....I take very good care of my feet! Nothing worse than thick, cracked heels and gnarly toenails in flip flops or sandals!!
I may be chubby, but my feet look nice!!

While you guys are discussing flip-flops, I'm digging out my kids' winter parkas and mittens. This am we had 4 below zero Centigrade. That means NO flip-flops.
It also means going for a swim in the icy sea today and cussing as I go - yes, I'm a masochist.

I love mine (multiple pairs). I have a pair by the back door, for taking the dog out. I have a pair that look great with my "dressy" capris for wearing out. I have a pair that I wear to the grocery store that look cute with not-dressy capris.
Here's where I say...but, then, I live where it's STILL above 90 some days. There's a "cold front" coming through that'll take us down into the 70s at night!
I just tend to buy flip-flips that are either VERY supportive, or are very close to going barefoot (which is my preferred method of locomotion, but not allowed anywhere except the house & yard).
Challenge Goals: *10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week *Gym time twice a week *Socialize at least once every two weeks.
Take it from me(and I LOVE flip-flops!), they are soooo bad for your feet. I attribute a lot of my current foot problems to un-supportive footwear. In fact, I do NOT recommend doing Dance Dance Revolution* while wearing flip-flops !!
I would really like to try those Fit-flops, I don't really believe they will tone up your legs and butt, however, I think they would be much more supportive than regular ff's.

Summer Challenge Goals: 1) Walk 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week 2) Plan weekly menus
In big band, the vocalist and I wanted to wear flip flops (it would go with the Hawaiian shirt thing... And she has a collection of sparkly flip flops) but the band dir nixed it.
I did wear sandals ONE time... but we were playing outside... and it is just GROSS to be down wind from the guy next to me when he empties his spit valve and “moisture” blows all over your feet. I had 3 people's spit on my feet that day. I'll never play in sandals or flip flops again.
