As some of you may or may not know, I LOVE saving money on anything and everything I purchase. A few days ago I received a sale email from cooking.com. Low and behold it was a Calaphlon (which we have from our wedding) 8" and 10" pan non-stick. I must use the one that we have every single day, that is how much I love it.

For both of these pans (drum roll please), I got it less than $60 which includes shipping. I am SO pleased about this purchase. I did call Williams Sonoma to just see how much they charge it and for both it would of cost well over $200.

I put in the books because I am just overjoyed! Also, I am saving some time when I get them because I don't have as much to clean. Smiler

Thanks for listening and if anyone wants in on this deal let me know. Smiler

I have found great deals on open stock Calphalon at Federated Dept. Stores. (I guess they're all Macy's now) but this is back when they had regional dept. stores like Lazurus and Rich's...

Smiler I couldn't believe what I deal it was either! Having those kinds of pans I know I will really enjoy! DH kept saying after I told him the W. sonoma price, let me see that email you got and make sure that price is correct.

On another note, on sparkpages I have been posting to the spark guys saving jars club http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/motivation_articles.asp?id=529. An excellent idea and I think I need to instead of putting major savings in my pda, start a jar with slips of paper telling me what I saved on. Smiler

Ok I am a NERD with that kind of stuff, can we tell?

I got a similar deal from amazon.com in the past year and also got the Calphalon non-stick 8" and 10" saute pans. They have been a DREAM to cook in and clean and I was just thinking yesterday that, with a big Kohl's sale this weekend, I might try to pick up another piece of Calphalon.

The sysop of another web board I visit occasionally had seen the sale announced and, because he knows many of us are amazon junkies (and like to cook), he let us know that amazon.com was having this amazing Calphalon sale and linked us to it (he gets a referral fee from amazon for us coming to amazon.com through his site, so it worked out for him as well as those of us who took up the offer).

I couldn't believe how good a deal it was!
