I'm baaaaAAAAAck ... and browner too!

Whether or not I'm heavier will have to wait until tomorrow's weigh-in.

We ended up skipping the springs in favor of going to the regular Universal Studios park. I rode more roller coasters than I even thought I would. Ones that corkscrewed, ones that looped, ones that dropped -- you name it. And, I didn't yack. Big Grin

Wet n Wild was a blast! Pretty much the same as when I was growing up around there, but they changed the names and updated a lot of the flumes. Didn't like walking around in my bathing suit too much, but I got over it.

Got to see lotsa cool stuff at Sea World. They really expanded it since I was a kid! We caught 3 shows, and rode the Kraken twice.

Then we headed down south to visit my family. My grandma cooked up a storm - yikes.

We drove up and down A1A and looked at all the damage still remaining from last year's hurricanes. We wandered around Bath Tub Reef and gathered shells and beach glass. Went to the beach, boogie boarded, and fought the killer waves (and undertoe) all day, and ended up with some nasty burns.

Thanks to several seabreezes at the Sebastian Beach Inn, I didn't feel the pain until the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that.

Then my grandpa and his buddy took us out in the swamps of the St. John's River in their airboats. We saw lots n lots of gators, and the boychild LOVED it. I think he may have even enjoyed it as much as Islands of Adventure.

We saw my dad, stepmom, and step sis too. Dad made some beer butt chickens and other yummies, and we just hung out for a while.

With the exception of a plane ride home that rivalled the rollercoasters (I did nearly yack then!) travel was smooth and fairly painless.

Foodwise, I ate some junk, I ate some good stuff, and had a decent amount of excercise. All in all, I feel OK with how I did. Nonetheless, I'm back at the gym starting tomorrow.

In other news, my computer arrived while I was gone -- yay!!!

Yes, seek help IMMEDIATELY!

Admittedly, the song did pop into my head once we made the turn onto it. Now, after reading "collaborate and listen," I fear it will be in my head all day today. Thanks. Razzer

BTW, when I was about 5, we used to live in a dumpy lil duplex right on A1A in cocoa. Now it's all resort condos. Frowner

Edited to added...

Or is it worse that I can still sing half the song from memory... "All right stop, collaborate and listen...." ?!?

Thanks for the warm welcome back, y'all! Tuesday I spent the whole day cleaning house, restocking the kitchen, and otherwise getting back to reality. Yesterday I was supposed to dive back into my freelance work. But GF stayed home, so I got NOTHING done. Guess I know what I'm doing today!

evoo - I really enjoyed sea world, and I hope you will one day soon too! I don't think the boy saw *anything* except the back of the people's heads on the rollercoaster -- he rode 14 times. He did at least see the Clyde & Seymour (sea lions) and Shamu shows. But the adults had fun watching manatees feed, petting sting rays, and otherwise enjoying marine life.

cate - LOL! Don't I get a plaque or something? Maybe a small stipend? Wink

Welcome back, Grrl!!! This is so funny because someone was just asking today in the FLYChat when you were coming back and I couldn't remember. I have definitely felt your absence around here, though! So glad to have you back. Sounds like a wonderful vacation!
