I LOVE my microwave...can't imagine living without it, but maybe that's because I don't care for my stove/oven!!!! I'm in the same boat when it comes to my kitchen. I love being in an old house, but little cupboard space and very little counter space are annoying. Our house was originally a candy store (100+ years ago) and the kitchen (we think) was part of that original store. We love the original windows, little nook for the old little fridge (I have shelves in it now with nick nacks), the breakfast nook and the actual size of the room. Having old and not enough cupboards is a pain plus very little counter space which is why hubby says he doesn't help cook...great excuse for him! I could go on and on about our house. I dream of new ammenities, but then we would lose some of the "charm" of having such an old house. Oh well, we can't afford them anyway!

I remember when everyone was using garlic presses -- I got one but I never liked it because it was hard to get it clean, and it would get stinky. I prefer to smash it on the cutting board with a heavy knife and then chop it by hand. I went to Macy's to look for a replacement for my nonstick wok pan. A good one without nonstick coating seems to be over $100!!!! I found one for $60 and thought I was in luck until I read the warning saying it couldn't be used over high heat. What good is a wok pan if you can't get it hot enough for stir-frying. So I'm still looking...

My vegetable peeler works great! I love it. I did buy an Oxo one and I hate that one, but my regular old silver all over one is great. Dawn

For sure it's a vegetable peeler. What a tool that is totally not make for what it is supposed to do. Secondly, for me it's my refrigerator. My two "dumb" dogs have figured out how to open the door, have now destroyed the stripping along the sides. We have to tie the door to the oven the oven door to the shelf with pots and pans on it to keep them out of it. But dh says we can't afford a new frig yet, so tie I will do. I can't hate the dogs, so I hate my frig!
It's never too late to get it right.

I got to design the tiny kitchen when we remodeled, so while I don't hate anything anymore, the list used to read something like this: I hate the un-calibrated oven, the stove with two working burners, no microwave, a dishwasher that sticks out past the cabinet, cabinets that came from a mobile home circa 1965 and therefore won't close when plates are set flat in them.
Challenge Goals: *10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week *Gym time twice a week *Socialize at least once every two weeks.

I also have gotten rid of things I don't like. I'm fortunate to have the $$$ to replace terrible pots and pans that I hated. Had to make do with very thin bottom pots for many years. I'm also fortunate that my list of "I LOVE this" is much longer than the list of "This drives me crazy".

I'm blessed to be in a brand new home with a kitchen I designed so I'm pleased to say there is nothing that I hate. I'm also in the camp of if I hate something, I toss it when it comes to stuff.

I can't really think of any kitchen tool I hate, though I am in the camp of hating the kitchen I have--it is a small apartment galley kitchen with an ancient stove and a non-frost-free fridge and I have no counter space. The only kitchen tools I have that I am not in love with are my George Foreman grill, which I recently pulled out to give away, and my mandolin. It's not that I don't like the mandolin...it's beautiful and works great. But it is SO sharp and I haven't used it enough to get comfortable with it. I generally buy pre-shredded bagged cabbage or carrots rather than mess with doing it myself. P.S. For those who don't like their immersion blenders, I ADORE my Braun! It comes with a mini food processor attachment which is a true gift to people with small kitchens and no counter space who don't have the space for a REAL food processor!

I've gotten rid of most of the kitchen stuff that I didn't like, so that all I have is stuff that I love, even if I don't use it as frequently as I should. I don't like my new immersion blender. I just bought it on Saturday because my old one died. It works fine for what I need, but my old one had a mini food processor attachment that I used all the time. So, I guess it's not so much don't like it, it just isn't the multitasker that I had.

I can't think of any tools I hate but I hate the kitchen I am stuck with. I have seen closets bigger than this kitchen.

I hate the way my spices are stored/organized. I spent some time and straightened it up a few weeks ago so it is much better than it was but my mission in my next house is to do that better. Peg

I don't get along very well with my immersion blender, but that's because it bit me once and sent me to the ER to get six stitches in my finger. I'm still a little scared of it. One of these days, though, I'll show it who's boss.

I love all kitchen tools! I could spend(and sometimes do) long amounts of time in kitchen stores. I would have to say my kitchen itself would be what I like the least. It is very small, no dishwasher, electric stove, tiny little counter space. I love to cook, but not in that kitchen. I get very irritated because I have no where to go with anything if I am preparing multiple dishes. And there is no room for anything else like one of those carts w/the butcher block top either. Jill

Can't think of anything I'd get rid of. When I have something I don'tlike, it goes. Right now, I am pretty happy with my kitchen and its tools.
