Now, see, this is the kind of thing that always made me say, "No way, I'm not doing THAT," whenever my DH tried to get me to try skiing! And just when I think I might be over it, there you go taking a tumble.
Of course, this is not about me...Sending you hugs and healing thoughts. Hope your ortho appointment goes well and you can get back on your feet ASAP.
I too hope that you don't have any ligament or tendon tears - they are no fun.
Good news is that you may qualify for PT and get in some good one on one time with a therpaist to build that leg back up.
When I tore my ACL, I was still in college so I hobbled around on my crutches but wasn't responsbile for running a household and cooking. The good news was that I didn't stay on crutches very long. The cane was MUCH easier and then I had a Townsend brace that I could put weight on.
I hope that you get good news at the orthopedic surgeon and can avoid any surgery.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
Awww Denise ... sorry to hear about your knee. Take care of yourself and get better soon!
Must've been one of those days. I fractured one of my fingers hiking on Saturday. Not too bad, but may impact weightlifting somewhat, and no more goal-tending for the rest of the season.

{{{Denise}}} Hope the news is good and there is no ACL damage or anything real troublesome. Sounds like you have your usual great attitude going for you and glad you figured out a way to get your tea without burning yourself.
Keep us updated when you find out more! At least it was the end of the season huh? A coworker of mine ripped up her ACL the first day out a couple of years ago...she was a very sad skier.
Sorry to hear about your injury, Denise. It sounds like you're handling it great and have a wonderful postive attitude. Hope you're not in a great amount of pain.
90 day goal: 4 days of cardio, 3 days of strength training each week.
