I actually had the package of marshmallow peeps in my hand, but I said "no" and put them back and came upstairs. I've had my toast w/p.b. and a banana, but I really want SUGAR!!!!!
I'm going to walk up to the grocery store and get chicken and a lime for tonight's dinner and maybe I'll have some hot chocolate when I come home. Stay strong!!!!

My dd is 23 & I just fixed her a basket. It looks like a garden pail with flowers painted on it & I added ladybug stickers to it (she likes ladybugs). In it I put a bear she saw at Barnes & Noble & wanted but couldn't afford, a DVD of "The Notebook" and just 4 Cadbury Cream Eggs (her favorite). She will probably eat one per week and make them last a whole month.

I'm with you Tina!
I'm joining your team, Tina & Brie! Dh likes to torment me in the grocery by pointing out peeps. I shudder every time.
I walked behind a woman filling her cart with all kinds of Easter treats and baskets yesterday at the store, candies, candies, and more candies. Actually, I found it sad, not for me, but for the poor people (usually kids) who were going to eat all those things and put on a couple of pounds. Here in SD we have been listed in the top 10 of having obese kids. It just made me angry that despite this information parents and grandparents were still buying all that candy. My sons are 22 and 17 --- I still fix them an Easter basket. For the last few years, they have only gotten a piece of their fav candy --- snickers, milky way, whatever, a CD for one, a book for another, etc. AND this before I started thinking healthy. Not only do we have to train our kids but the parents as well. AND please NO live animals; they usually wind up NON-live soon.
It's never too late to get it right.

Oh, a snickers bar, yes that would be even better. I had some of those back in my last binge.
I'm debating putting all of the Easter candy in the trunk of my dh's car but I think I'm doing okay with it. After Easter when the baskets are laying around - that will be the true test.
I know I should just make up baskets with healthier treats but this is tradition after all and my son still kind of believes in the easter bunny and I don't want to change things.
