We are ok.
A little shaken up... literally and figuratively.
It was small. Magnatude 4.1. But it was about 10-ish miles as the bird flies from my house, so even small earthquakes really shake.
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/ear.../nc71336726.php#maps We are a little shaken by the knowledge that an earthquake of 5.2 (which is still "small") would be 100 times stronger.
But we are ok.
Not to worry.

There was an earthquake in IL very early this morning. I was startled when the bed started shaking! Nothing like your quake, Denise.

I just heard this on the news. How are you, Denise?
Ugh! Just had another one...
A friend sent me this map... "The yellow area with the most shaking was right by your house!" I'm about 1/4th mile from the yellow spot.
http://sz0114.ev.mail.comcast....art=8&auth=co&disp=i Not the kind of excitement I'd like in life!
THANKFULLY... I need a math review and a magnitude 5.1 would be "only" 10 times worse than yesterday... and 6.1 would be 100 times.
This one shows the freeways...
http://sz0114.ev.mail.comcast....art=7&auth=co&disp=i Star is epicenter... yellow dot is way too close to my house.
Good luck you guys with the snow! You can always send it to ME! I'd love 2 feet of snow right now!

Glad to hear you're okay, Denise.
Like lots of others here, we're coping with snow. You'd think this country would be prepared - after all, it happens every year around the same time - and yet: suddenly there's snow, and traffic is plunged into chaos.

Glad you CA residents are ok. Like Brie, Sandy, and Judy-our news is about snow. Even though we are getting only about 3" it is the BIG STORY, lol!
Stay safe out there on the West Coast!

I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.
I didn't even feel it! I was in a boat, at rowing practice. Maybe that's why we weren't set.
Haven't heard about it yet. Glad you are OK.
Like Brie and Sandy, all the news here has been about snow. Unlike them we are expecting half an inch
Hope everybody stays safe.

Glad to hear that you are OK. We're coping with snow... lots of snow... so I have missed news of the earth quake.
Yikes! I'm glad you are OK. That must have been very scary!
We're bracing for a major snow storm here. They are now saying 10-17 inches for my town. Kind of keeping my fingers crossed for a snow day tomorrow.
