I'm heading to Ohio this morning for my family reunion and will be gone about a week. I may be checking in from my Mom's computer, but it probably won't be much. Have a good week!

Wow, Sheri!

That's fantastic!

And Sandy,

not too shabby.

Good work, women!

That great, Sheri!

Sadly, I came home 5 pounds up! UUGH! I was down 2 this morning with 3 to go. I must say, that I ate more fat, salt and calories than I do at home. My hope is that another 1-2 pounds of the 5 is water. My best guess is that I gained 1-2 pounds of fat.

By some miracle, I ate restaurant meals every day for a week PLUS the comfort food at the reunion and it was all salty (even seemingly innocuous things like baked or grilled chicken), but my first weigh-in post-trip was only 1/2 to 1 pound up from my weigh-in the day I left home last week.

Today's weight was back down to pre-trip weight (even a little less) despite the fact that I came home (starving) to a big container of homemade beef and dumplings that one of the condo office sales ladies had kept for me.

I don't know how it happened...I am just awfully happy that it did!!! Woohoo!

welcome home!

It is always nice to be able to sleep in your own bed after a long trip.

Glad you had a good time, Sheri.

Yeah, this summer has been really strange in Ohio.

Heat wave is due - after all, the kids return to school today!

Hey all. Thanks for the well wishes. I've returned back home to Delaware.

Had a STUNNING overnight stop in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland on the way up, where I hiked a dark wooded rocky path between two waterfalls.

Time at home went okay. Not great, not bad. Reunion was nice, though it was about half strangers from another wing of the family that I don't know. At least the people who mattered were there. Thought we were going to have crappy weather for the reunion in Canton on Saturday, but it ended up a nice day. A little on the cool side, but nice.

It was actually chilly on Sunday and I had to pull out the only pair of long pants I brought. Monday was a beautiful day of driving and my stopover on the way back was Hagerstown, Maryland...not too far northwest of DC. My room at the Hampton Inn was quite impressive, but the rice-paper-thin walls was NOT.

The drive home today was another bright sunny day, which is my favorite driving weather. Got caught up in a few minor delays due to road construction, but made it home before 1 p.m.

Time on Mom's puter was limited, so I wasn't able to visit while I was there, but hope you all had a good week.

Have fun!

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

Hey Sheri-have a great time!

Jill

I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.
