I have been struggling for the past 6 days! The Apple Festival was this past weekend in my hometown and my family has a giant gathering of friends and family since we live close to the parade grounds and festival area. 4 different kinds of soups (not the good for me kind), sloppy joes, and 6 different types of pie! That is all we had around the house from last Friday - Monday night. Monday I managed to bring at least a whole pie of leftover slices to work for some people who requested it. That helped clean off/out some from the house. We also froze the leftover soup on Saturday in quick individual servings. I swerved at breakfast and lunch the past two days by eating out/fast food with diet cokes (something I have pretty much avoided for the past year and a half. DInners have been healthy though.
SO.....Tonight I am going to kick up the walking, eat a LARGE salad for dinner everynight, eat FRUIT for any type of sweet craving over the next week, get back to bringing my lunch to work the next 7 days, and make my oatmeal in the morning!
I have been eating homemade salsa (with only a few chips) for lunch today with a 99 cent burger from Wendy's.

I ***Refuse*** to regain anything else! I want my 1/2 day of pampering on vacation in 9 days!

My October 1-3 weights were 136.2#, 136.8#, 136.0#.

Due to a major back sprain, I haven't done any dumbbell exercises for a long time. I, knock on wood, think I am ready to declare it "healed".

At Home Depot, I bought a nice ($70!) convertible (2-wheel / 4-wheel) cart, for hauling my crated doggie to the truck, salt into the house, etc.

I would say I'm still in "just okay" territory overall, with some good days and bad days. I have not been getting my 5 days of exercise per week as consistently as I would like for the past 3-4 weeks, but am still averaging 4 days a week. I have eaten a bit more fast food and other "FFF" (former fatty favorites) than I usually would in the past month, but it's been portion controlled.

Personal Healthy Habits Challenge - 10/1 to 12/31/08:
1. Exercise: Get back to consistently working out 3-5 X week.
2. Food: Get back to consistently preparing healthy lunches for the week with increased veg servings.
3. Behavior: Reduce intake of sweets.

I had been doing fine but the last few days have been hard. I went to lunch on Sunday with my family and ended up eating a bunch of deep-fried food. Not a good choice.

Yesterday I was hungry and didn't have anything with me at work, so I ate 3 individual-serving bags of Weight Watchers Cheddar twists. Today I feel sick from all that salt. I have pretty much decided that salty snacks are just not worth it for me -- I don't do well with them and they are definitely not nutritious.

I'm worried that I won't have a good weigh-in today because of all this. I had weighed in unofficially on Friday at 168 and was looking forward to getting into the 160s officially at WW tonight. Then I messed myself up.

My foot has still been bothering me so I have had trouble exercising. I've been focusing on strength training and yoga but I really miss my cardio, it's just that everything I do seems to make it act up. Frowner

I've been struggling. I've been eating more and drinking more wine than I should.

It was a very stressful weekend and I handled it very poorly in terms of food.

Today is a new day though - no wine until I'm back in range and today I AM staying on plan.

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
