So I was a little worried last night since we were iced in all yesterday. I had a haircut scheduled and I was going to go take myself to the gym before hand.

I used my safety common sense and held back on both and thought I could work out at home if DH was willing to watch DS. Sure enough he did and I walked 1.5 miles on the treadmill. I had so much energy leftover that I decided to take full advantage and did a BIG cleanout of our basement freezer.

I feel SO much better because that got done. DH doesn't enjoy those projects so I was able to get that done for both of us.

And I found one of my old cookbooks while I was working out and inspired myself to make a hearty veggie lentil soup. This was where I was super impressed. I worked in some items I wanted to use in the fridge AND DH ate his entire soup bowl of veggies. He is usually quite picky with those things.

For a day in it has been just fine. We are still deciding if we are going to keep our plans tonight or not. If so, I am going to try to be careful with each bite.

I think by being in I am getting a little used to it. I have been working on projects that I have been meaning to get to, but haven't had the time. I just got another one done.

Judy, I didn't want to send you my lentil soup recipe quite yet because it is really more of a veggie soup with some lentils thrown in because I was trying to use what I had in the firdge.

Let me know if you are still interested or not. Smiler

Sounds like you made good use of a snow day Big Grin.
Dena stayed home from work. We live at the bottom of a hill (last house on a dead end stree) and our street lets out into the middle of another hill so that you have to go uphill from a standing start so we stayed in until about 2pm Friday. The only reason we went out then was to pick up my car from the shop. If we had not gotten it then, we would have been without it until Monday morning.
After we got out of our neighborhood of hills most of the main road were clear and dry. Even now the hills in our neighborhood are still covered in ice but passable if you go slow and easy around the curves.

Care to share your lentil soup recipe? We have discovered we like it but have only used a mix and would rather not have the transfats and excess sodium that are in it.
