I have another sub. ingrsdient question: how about white wine vinegar?

I would also use cider vinegar or maybe even lemon juice. Champagne vinegar might be nice.

I just made a red cabbage slaw the other day and 1/2 way through the process found out I was out of my white vinegar. I used red vinegar and it was just fine.

Steph,

If you need light or white colored vinegar, you could maybe use rice vinegar, rice wine vinegar, mirin, or just plain white vinegar.

What recipe is it for?
