ok, I use cloth pads. The problem is washing them in the machine never quite seems to get them clean...anyone got tips?

Also if anyone has a brand of the cloth ones they really like...I use gladrags, which are ok, but not really long enough.

And now that I've squicked out the guys on here... sorry folks

An odd note about menstrual cups. I've tried the disposable types and discovered they and I were incompatible. If your gyno has ever told you that you have a tilted (or retroverted) uterus, then you might find some difficulty getting the cup to be positioned correctly or to stay in at all.

Cate,

If you sew, you can find patterns online to make them. I had made some pre-Y2K, but never used them.....ended up using them as doublers in my cloth diapers for Rachel later that year. For the absorbent center I used the middle portions of the cloth diapers that I had. I used a beatiful red flannel (it actually was a Christmas print that I got on clearance in Feb of 99) for the outside portions of it. I made a dozen of them, and it cost me less than $10 because I used stuff that I had around the house to do it.

One other suggestion, I HIGHLY recommend the reusable menstral cup, I think it is called "the Keeper".....they are kind of expensive, but reusable for up to like 3 or 4 years. I used that a lot in the past, and it works REALLY well!!!!

Blessings,

Lori
