My blue pants fit a little better every week. I'm not getting as much walking in as I'd like (the joys of getting glass in one's foot..bleah!this was yesterday's disaster..) but I am slowly slimming down.

CONGRATULATIONS LORI!!!! I know how long you've been working to get here : )
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
I weighed in this morning and am 146 HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh folks, you don't know how I've longed to solidly be under 150! I would say that I am SOLIDLY under 150 now! Never to see that number again! Oh, I am sooooo thrilled!
This is a 3.5 pound loss in the past 2 weeks, and 11 pound total since 4/27/05.
Blessings,
Lori

Yesterday I was at 141, and it keeps sticking there. *grumble*
I guess I need to ratchet up the effort a bit more. I don't think I can add any more exercise. But I can buckle down some on the food. Maybe not have that second cup of coffee, skip my afternoon snack, or pare down my dinner portion some.
I don't see myself making my goal of 137 by the end of the week, unless by some miracle.. *sigh*

Kathy, we've had lots of discussion on this board about dealing with people in our lives who sabotage our healthy living efforts in one way or another. Sounds like your MIL falls into that category. Good for you for recognizing her comments for what they probably are: her feelings about herself being reflected on you. And even better for you for not letting her get to you. Just keep doing what you're doing and hope she'll come around. If not, well, at least you'll be healthy.
Now back to our regularly scheduled topic: I'm about three pounds down from last week, which is really good for a couple of reasons. I've broken the plateau by making a really concerted effort to up my cardio and control my calories. And it puts me just under where I need to be to row as a lightweight in Sunday's regatta. Yay!
I've decided to join you guys in this. I am never sure how often I want to weigh. I threw away my bathroom scale about 2 years ago to avoid daily weighing. I weigh and measure at Curves once a month, buy I think I'll start weighing weekly for awhile and see how it goes. I want to see if I can keep track without obcessing.
This week I went down .4 to 171.2. That is after losing 5 pounds last week though (alot of that was monthly water).
Step-MIL is coming on Monday, and she always seems to make a comment about my being overweight. She has been bigger than I know she wants to be since I've known her and I think she makes comments to me to make herself feel better. But it still bothers me. I found myself really wanting to get into the 160's this week because of her. Yes, I know, I can't let her control how I feel about me!
Sorry for the length. Kathy
90 Day Challenge Goal: 8 glasses water and post plan and actual daily.
168 - down 1 lb from last week, but up 2 since my Sat weigh in. I am sure some of it has to do with being away on vacation last week. I am going to work for a really clean week and hope to hit 165 by next Wed (seeing as much of it is water - I hope! :>
Everything counts.

It's been so long since I've been here - although I DO weigh myself - which is different from before I started this journey. We now have a beam scale - thanks to a county auction. I weighed myself first on old unreliable and then tried the beam scale - the final verdict was the highest of the weights from the old unreliable - 255.
But it will be lower next week. At the very least, I won't have garlic bread the night before!!
Got my period, over-indulged at the festival this weekend, and hive my MIL staying here again with her bags of nuts and chips--I've been told in no uncertain terms that the "food police" are not welcome, even in my own home.
Fall goals: 1. Bike 40-50 miles a week 2. Prepare new garden bed for next season 3. Heal my back

Exactly where I was last week (152.6-152.8) but I have been at a slightly higher weight for much of the past week, so I'm glad to be at last week's weight!
Personal Healthy Habits Challenge - 10/1 to 12/31/08: 1. Exercise: Get back to consistently working out 3-5 X week. 2. Food: Get back to consistently preparing healthy lunches for the week with increased veg servings. 3. Behavior: Reduce intake of sweets.
