I let a homemade cherry pie go bad in my refrigerator! I realized yesterday that it had gotten to old to eat when dd asked for a piece.
This is big for me. Usually when I have sweets in the house I am very aware of them. But I really just forgot about this. I thought about having some a couple of times and decided it wasn't really worth it. Of course if it had been a chocolate cheesecake. . .

I can so relate! When those 100-calorie packs of Oreo crisps and such first came out, I bought a box of 6 packs and went through them far too quickly. As a result, I wouldn't allow myself to buy them regularly. I bought a box for the first time in a while Saturday before last and was thrilled when I made it well over a week before I ate the 6th pack.

Good for you, Kathy! That is huge. I'm still learning to be alone with food in my house, and I think it's a victory when a pint of ice cream lasts more than a week. I'm proud of you.
