Well, I did my first 5k this morning. DH talked me into signing up. He ran and I mostly walked - I did run a bit when it was downhill. I wore my "I'm slow, I know, Get over it" T-shirt and finished - in 50 minutes, which was about 10 minutes faster than I thought I would. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, so I may actually do another one.

It reminds me of the saying by John Bingham - The miracle isn't that I finished, the miracle is that I had the courage to start!

Good for you Mel!

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
