Dd has been planning this big surprise for me for a couple of months. This is the first year she has ever had enough money to do anything special.
The day started with biscuits & gravy for breakfast at the Southern Skillet and they gave me a free strawberry shortcake for "desert".
Then we went downtown to the Cyclorama at the Zoo. For those who don't know, it is a large painting depicting the Battle of Atlanta in the Civil War that was painted in the late 1800's. They say it is 4 stories high. It is displayed in a circle and your seat rotates so you see the whole thing as it is narated.
For lunch we went to Grace 17/20 which is an upscale casual resturant at The Forum. They gave us a free sorbet trio for desert.
"By the Grace of God on this 19th day Of the month of August In the year of our Lord, 2006 I Alfonso Rex, King and Conqueror, Hereby grant thee, Judy Nebergall The title of Lady of the castle In honor of your 60th Birthday With all the rights and privileges, Thereunto.
Happy belated Birthday!!!! I am so sorry I missed it. I haven't been on as much as the disease has just been awful lately. More appts to make and some awful tests to be done to see if they are going back in for major surgery. I am so glad you and your daughter had such a great day. You both look great!!!! What a great memory to treasure!!!
It sounds like a wonderful and full day. Your daughter is a gem for making it so special for you!

I went to Medieval Times with 250 eighth graders on the Disneyland trip. I had this vision of some girl bringing her new boyfriend home to meet the parents. "He's the Green Knight at Medieval Times!!! Isn't that coooool!!"
