Last Friday, I posted a poll asking for opinions on whether we should go ahead and start a member introduction thread until a decision can be made by the powers-that-be about making it into a permanent folder. The votes were overwhelmingly for "Why wait? Let's start a regular thread now."

I'm combining today's homework with the start of a member introduction thread. Your homework for today is to find the new thread called "Member Introductions" and write an introduction for yourself. Doesn't have to be done today, but please try to get it done by the end of this weekend.

There are three ways you can do your introduction:

1. Use the template provided in the new thread;
2. Write a completely freestyle introduction including whatever information you choose; or
3. Combine the template with some freestyle answers or information of your own.

Just to keep this homework thread from falling immediately down the list because it doesn't require responses, please report back here when you've completed your introduction or to say you'll get to it on the weekend, whatever.

I look forward to reading your introductions!

I agree! Now when I recommend the website and message board to someone I have a particular thread I can tell them to read first to get a feel for what we are all about.

Thanks for the suggestions, Denise! I was grumping to myself because I had originally intended to include "Location:" in the template and forgot...didn't realize it wasn't in there until I was reading some of the responses last night and didn't remember people saying where they lived. D'oh! I'll edit the template with your and my additions.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the kind words. Smiler

Done! Good idea to get that folder accomplished Sheri.
