As I mentioned about one month or so ago I am having my kitchen gutted out, they will be here Monday to take the old cabinets out and demolish them, Tueseday they will start installing them ((don’t know how long this will take) then I will have to call the counter man to come back and remeasure, I orderd a sink and it is backlogged for about 3 weeks,
So the plumbing for the faucet and new dishwasher can’t be done till the sink is installed
(as my disposal has to be moved also)

Now I know a lot of you stated you used your laundry rooms to cook, or grill outside since I live in a condo (no laundry room and can’t grill) and will be without a counter or sink and not sure when my micro or stove will be hooked up

I guess what I am trying to find out what can I eat, (beside salads) I did buy some paper plates and plastic utensils and drinking glasses (for water and coffee) I was thinking of some frozen dinners but not really a love of them, and they can’t be heated in a toaster oven. I know I can make chicken, fish in T.O. but my Bathroom sink is small to wash any pots and pans, and I can’t lean over the B.T. to wash them.

Well, got to finish up packing up the stuff in the cabinets now.

I need your advise and help.

TIA

What about getting an indoor electric grill? I think they are relatively inexpensive and are great. I used to use one year 'round when I lived in Chicago. You can grill up any meat and veggies to make a great meal. It's easy cleanup.

I think Sandy is right, you can heat frozen dinners in a toaster oven. You could also make an individual pizza, using a ww pita as your crust.

You can also take a chicken breast or fish and some veggies, season them up, add a couple tbsp chicken broth, wrap it all up in tin foil and cook it in there. Even cut up the chicken, throw in some uncooked rice too = packet-baked stir fry!

I've never tried it myself, but I've seen Alton Brown do something similar with parchment paper in an oven. I think tin foil would be safer in a toaster oven.

Carol,
I think that maybe the frozen dinners can be heated in the toaster oven. Allow them to thaw most or all of the way before you pop them in the oven.
You can also do tuna melts in the oven.
Prepacked salads are great and lf deli meat sandwiches with veggies are low cleanup.

Publix has a great Greek salad that they sell in the deli section, and darn tasty wraps that they make fresh for you. Their sushi (if you pick it up early in the day) is also good and tastes fresh. I believe they'll also steam seafood for you at the counter, so that's a way to get fish cooked without getting anything dirty at home Smiler Their rotisserie chickens are another easy way to pick up several meals.

When we were remodeling, I went to the store every day around 10 AM to pick up something already prepared for lunch and look around for something to fix for dinner. Breakfasts were usually yogurt, cereal & milk, or peanut butter sandwiches.

A large salad keeps well in the fridge if you keep it pretty tightly covered, and bagged salad won't take up too much room in the fridge.

Good luck, and I hope your kitchen turns out well!
