Well, depending on how you are thinking about this thing, today could also be a 1/2 way point. I am stumbling along...how's everyone else doing?

It's not too late! Start your 45 day challenge today!

I need some coverage for posting. I need someone to do Saturday and Sunday for sure and if someone could take over for the next 5 days, that would be even better. My house is completely trashed (painting my living room with its cathedral ceilings and 2 story walls...ARRRRRGGGHH) and I'll be out of town over the weekend. Thanks!

I've not been able to get here for a few days. Sorry about that.

I was able to hike on Monday for 90 minutes, and I was able to hike on Wednesday for 2 hours. I'm very happy to get moving again.

Regarding the readings, I have the most pathetic but true excuse for not doing it. I ran out of test strips on Sunday morning, and I haven't been able to get to my pharmacy to get new ones. (Kind of like the dog ate it excuse, huh?) The pharmacy is open later on Thurdays so I'm making it a priority to get there tonight on the way home from work.

My best to you all!

Bill

HGTV.com has all kinds of designer room pictures that you can browse through. Maybe that would give you some ideas.

Glad to hear that your house is coming back together though ; )

I can start the thread over the next 5 days... unless somebody else wants to.

Thanks Denise! I'd really appreciate it. I'm sure I'll be more creative/enthusiastic when I get back.

By the way, the living room is really coming together. I like the new colors a lot. It's really a much warmer feel so I'm very happy about that. Still more to go and then the carpet cleaners are coming Monday (does anyone else hear that sucking noise coming out of my bank??? Smiler) and then I can work on reassembling the space. I went for a walk after work. I was extremely stressed out and it did help take the edge off. Once again, this challenge got me out the door when I'm sure I wouldn't have gone otherwise. I'm really looking forward to a weekend AWAY!

Hi Peg,

I can start the thread over the next 5 days... unless somebody else wants to. Smiler

I had a good day. Exercised (Thanks to Lori and Cate who "met" me online so that I had company!) and stretched just now.

Waiting for dinner to be delivered, and I'm not sure what it is... but the rest of the day has been excellent both in taste and as far as staying on plan. Smiler

I had a good day and was on plan. My sweet tooth was much more manageable today.

This week is going well for me. I am on plan today with a small exception... I was at Sam's club and they were offering sample squares of chocolate/caramel candy. I took and ate one (about 3 smallish bites.) I decided to eat my raspberries plain- no milk to save the calories- not so good in terms of calcium, but I loved the candy and felt like I was really treating myself.

I exercised for 90 minutes today. I am at 150 minutes for the week. I have been power walking with a friend and am getting some great workouts. We also did some strength stuff with bands today.

I'm back -- went AWOL from the board and the Challenge for a while. First, I was sick, then I was travelling (I flew to L.A. on September 11. That was a little weird.)

Anyway, I'm going to keep the 60 ounces of water goal for Week 7 because I need to know if I can do it on my "regular" schedule. While I had a cold, I was so thirsty I was drinking water at every turn. And during the conference I just attended, there were pitchers of ice cold water with lemon on every table, refreshed at every break. So it was easy to get that H2O RDA.

Still hit or miss with the first five weeks' baby steps, but I'm getting better.
