I am finally back from vacationing in PEI. I am so very happy to be home. When we go to visit the in-laws next summer we will be renting a summer cabin for sure.
I lost 5 pounds the first 5 days of our vacation, there was nothing to eat and no room in the fridge to put groceries. We started eating out just to get something other than sandwiches on white bread, coke and sugar cereals in our system. I tried very hard to make healthy choices at the restaurants. Being a vegetarian my choices are usually limited but I did well. I substituted rice or baked potatoe for french fries and stayed away from too much pasta and cheesy appetizers.
On the flip side we played cards or board games every evening and it was hard to stay away from the chips and popcorn being pasted around.
At the end of the 10 days I had lost 1 pound and had the biggest tension headache I had ever had. It has taken the past two days at home to relax.
