Here ye, here ye.. emotional eaters... come one come all to a pity party for Fer. I just found out that some data I was expecting, won't be coming in. So I have to analyze it myself and it won't be pretty. I probably won't graduate on time now... still hopefully before the wedding.. crossing fingers. But my first instinct, was "I deserve some really greasy food." Luckily I'm at school, still writing and writing and writing... but I know this feeling won't dissipate easily. I will try to exercise tonight instead of eating bad food, but I'm going to be majorly wallowing in frustration.

It's some chemical analysis I need to do. I have to dig out my water samples and run them on two types of machines. I had a huge (mostly mental) celebration at the end of March that my lab work was done... so this is a big disappointment. It will work out. Just have to trudge through.

Thanks guys. I didn't make the best choices, but I did make better ones.

I was incredibly frustrated, so we went out to eat. We had Thai and I did my best not to overeat. I felt satiated but not stuffed when we left.

I also baked a cake later, box carrot and can of cream cheese icing- both are virtually vegan (have to be shelf stable). I only had one small piece. The cake didn't turn out all that well, because I think my canola oil was on the verge of rancid. Tastes kinda funny. Just so you know, the little can of cream cheese frosting (Betty Crocker) is pretty nasty. All in all, the product isn't good enough to feed my friends. I'll have another piece for dessert tonight and then throw it away.

Oh Fer, that is so frustrating. I hope you didn't eat, because I know you know that ultimately, that would just make you feel worse.

Keep your chin up! You will get through this.

So sorry to hear it Fer : (
I'm so proud of you though for posting here and not turning to food - that's awesome!

Fer: You have come so far....... I am sorry about the data, but I am so glad that you thought and posted before you actually went out and had greasy food. That is a huge example of your will power and strength - take it easy and try and get through it as best you can.

Me too. I agree with everything Sandy said.

Plus - You are accomplishing so much!!!! It is tremendous that you are going so far in school. (Most of my family did not graduate from HS.) This may not help right this second - but this won't matter in three, five or twenty years.

Fer,
I am so sorry about the data. I hope that this does not postpone your graduation- what a bummer! I hope that tonight you'll think of something to treat yourself that is not food related. I like a long, hot shower- really long, until I want to come out. Can you call a friend, paint your nails or see a movie?

Great job posting here rather than going for greasy food.
