I know that several of you eat Amy's frozen foods and thought you might be able to help me with this. I recently bought my first Amy's product...a frozen burrito. I was really hungry the other night and I was going to have it...until I read in the instructions that it takes FORTY FIVE MINUTES in the oven! I couldn't believe one little burrito would take that long. I saw that it also had microwave instructions, but I know that some things are really gross when cooked in the microwave and I didn't want a bad first experience to sour me on Amy's products.

Anyone have experience with Amy's frozen burritos? If so, do you cook them in the oven or microwave? If you have tried both, which is the best?

Thanks!

Sheri, I microwave Amy's stuff all the time with good results. I only used my oven for them once during a stint when my old microwave died.

Thank you, ladies! I knew I could count on you to know the answer. Smiler

I never thought of leaving it in the fridge to thaw...I guess I thought that would make it soggy...I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

I nuked them but then finish them off on top of the toaster to harden the outside a bit. (Our toaster has a little rack on the top).

You could probably stick the nuked burrito into a toaster over or the regular oven for a few minutes.

Sheri,
I have microwaved her burritos with fine results. Be careful to not overcook and wrap in a papertowel to keep the tortilla from drying out. I'm sure thawing would help too.

I like them in the oven. I leave then in the fridge overnight so that it is thawed my lunch the next day. It takes about 20 minutes in a 375 oven.
