I just got back from a week in Portugal. Very nice despite poor weather and digestive complaints. The food was good and fattening, and the 48-hr stomach flu I had did nothing to offset the damage. I'm SO glad to be home where I know what to do to get back in balance. A whole day of traveling, with awful in-flight food/sodas and a majorly icky feeling, is now over. Pleasant trip, but whew!
I've been skimming the posts and I'm glad to see Denise and Sheri had a good time! Kudos on not gaining!

It IS nice - the weather is better, I'm suddenly down 2 lbs for the first time in six months, and summer is here. Traveling is nice, but coming home is sometimes the best part.

Glad to be back. I may not be able to post pics yet or at all, I'm challenged that way, but we'll see
It was a nice and relaxing trip. We spent time at the pool, the kids and dh went to the beach despite the weather (showers, not very warm either), etc. Foodwise, it was crash and burn. Huge portions (American-sized! ) with meat & carbs the main/only ingredient (and lots of lovely fish/seafood dishes I couldn't enjoy due to allergies). Huge platters of meat, rice, fries - wham! Nice salad sides though.
First weigh-in at home this am says no gain. There may be a delayed reaction (= gain) during the next few days.
I love being able to drink loads of my own tap water and not bother about where we can buy the next bottle of water.
