| I think that I burned 2025 calories today. And ate 2027. I honestly couldn't have planned it that close. Shoot I could jog in place for 30 seconds and make it 2027 and 2027. I had one of those days were I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed every single thing I ate. I was eating a salad at lunch and saying, "OMG... this is so good!" And then I made a coconut cake that we all agreed was "perfect". I've been feeling sort of guilty because Nelson LOVES Pepperidge Farms frozen coconut cake and asked for one for fathers day, but Jamie hates it and I didn't want to have to deal with 9-12 slices of cake so we bought an individual strawberry shortcake, instead. And then we caught half of Alton Brown making a 7 layer coconut cake... and Nelson was saying how much he likes coconut cake. So I made a 4" cake that came out soooo good. Then we had spegetti and just some sauce from a jar for dinner, and even THAT tasted really good. I hope this lasts...

| I had a strange food day. Dh really wanted to go to Pancheros for Mexican at lunch. We have gone out so very little in the past month that I agreed. I am used to getting a burrito there- chicken. I like the burritos- feel like the are big and satisfying. Here's what I decided to order: Burrito made in a bit more healthful way--- Large tortilla- 315 calories veggies-100 calories rice 6 ounces- 300 calories (They say they put 4 ounces in the burrito, but the scoop was overflowing, so I thought I would say it was a scoop and a half.) salsa- 15 calories
Total burrito:730 calories
I skipped the meat, sour cream, cheese and beans. I have to say that the burrito was a bit skimpy and not like I used to eat, but it was still good and I still felt like I had a big and indulgent meal. I could do this once in a while. BTW, the tortilla does have fat in it--- can't remember now the fat grams, but it is more than I ought to be eating and less than I used to eat.
I also ate a scant 1 ounce of chips and salsa- 100+ calories
Total meal about 850 calories.
Breakfast was cereal, skim milk:400 calories Snack was cherries: 150 calories
Dinner time is here- I am still not hungry and am going to skip.
Total calories today: 1400
It was fun to play a bit with an old favorite. I know it's not for me more than every few months, but it was fin to go out to eat after eating so many meals in. Plus, they were super nice at Pancheros about my special burrito. |
