Was checking out the NIH (National Institute of Health) website to see what all they have on there, and ran across this interesting bit. It is a quiz/article on the way our portions have changed in the past 20 years. And it tells you how hard you have to work to burn those extra calories....very very interesting info, done in a fun way.
Great quiz to find. All I can say is Wow!! I did well guessing the calories but I have to admit not so great on the calories burned part.

Interesting quiz, and while I understand the point they are trying to make, not all of their "20 years" ago portion sizes were correct. 20 years ago I was 15, and I don't remember ever seeing a 6.5 oz bottle of any sort of soda, by that time they were mostly 12 oz cans, and prior to the advent of the can, 16 oz returnable bottles were the norm, so...
I'm really not very good at knowing how many calories some particular activity burns... I got most of those wrong.

This was so interesting. I actually got almost all of them correct except for the turkey sandwich one. It seemed like more to me. It is pretty gross huh, how everything is becoming so supersized?
