It's been really cold here the last few mornings, and so I decided to start my annual switch from cold cereal to hot. But I wasn't ready to give up my Crunchy Granola, so I tried it as oatmeal.
I mixed 1/2 cup granola, 1/4 cup raisens, and 1 scant cup water in a bowl and microwaved for 4 minutes, then let it rest for another minute or so. I mixed in a splash of soy milk to add some moisture. It was really wonderful. Chewier than my usual oatmeal, and a bit sweeter.
Fall goals: 1. Bike 40-50 miles a week 2. Prepare new garden bed for next season 3. Heal my back

Ooo, good idea! I have also tried it as muesli by soaking it overnight in milk (1/1 ratio) and adding a little yogurt and fruit in the morning. I'm just about to switch over to hot oat breakfasts too. Can't beat good coffee on these mornings!
