And carefully spooned my cat's food into the bowl.
I soooo do not need to weigh my cat's food!!! (He is the first pet I've owned that I don't have to watch how much we feed him...) I really was on auto pilot. And I wasn't thinking of mindlessly eating cat food. Just have put MY cereal bowl on the food scale every morning for like 5+ years now...
I also carefully weighed a half an avocado yesterday... and then immediately forgot the number... but there was no way I was scraping squished avocado off my sandwich and reweighing it.

I had a cat that I had to measure her food. She was a stress eater and would binge and if I gave her too much, she'd gobble it down and throw it up.
And then Barney, our old dog... he was just a hound dog and loved to eat. We measured his food (with a plastic cup) so that we could control his girth.
But I NEVER thought of weighing his food on a food scale.
I WISH this cat was a member of the "Clean Plate Club"... he is on special UT food and he wastes a lot by taking two bites and leaving it.
