Loved your success story. I don't know that I read anything on there that I haven't heard you say here a thousand times, but I loved seeing your story put together and all in one place.

VERY COOL!

Congratulations, Sheri. I remember the day that picture was taken -- what a fun day and a great breakfast! Smiler I do remember being surprised at how tiny you were at first. I hadn't seen a before picture so I didn't realize what a dramatic change you made. 30 pounds is a lot on someone your height.

Maybe we can get the Ohio girls together again sometime this summer. I am going to be very busy thru April with my dissertation proposal and working a lot of weekends, but by summer I should be done with the proposal and can slow down a little while working on the dissertation itself.

That's awesome Sheri! : )

Thank you all for your kind comments...they mean a lot to me. You are like my second family after almost 3 years together! Smiler

I shared the link for my story with a few coworkers who have supported me in my journey. I got several lovely emails in return. This line, from an email I just received a few minutes ago, really touched me, and I wanted to share it:

"I use your success as a role model and hope to finally incorporate all that I've learned from you into my own healthy lifestyle."

Like I said in my story, knowing that I had even a tiny bit to do with someone making a decision to improve their own health makes me feel warm inside!

Sheri,

I, too, just read your success story. How wonderful and pride you should feel. You are an inspiration.

I wonder how you manage to find so much time to do so many things that I love to do, too. You travel, your well-read, you exercise, and your dedication to FLY and cooking healthfully. Keep up the great work!

Sheri,

Another hero added to the wall! (standing ovation) No sarcasm here. I'm very serious.

When we are living through our day-to-day hell of trying to balance life and health, I think we often forget our actions usually have more impact than our words. Of course, you set the standards in both areas. I join the others in thanking you for sharing your life with us.

All my best!

Bill

I noticed that is said 100 lbs at the top, and in the article is said 30.

30 is still a GREAT accomplishment. I was excited with half that amount!

Thank you! Just a correction though. I didn't lose 100 pounds! I sent in an email and asked for a correction on that. Smiler
