Hi all,
What kinds of small sweet treats (like a little lunch box dessert) are you using these days?

I think you will like the almond clusters. I haven't tried the pecan ones. I will have to check them out.

I always have to be careful about nuts. I am allergic to peanuts, and most other nuts are processed in peanut oil. But the True North ones aren't.

I am also interested in trying their pistachio crisps.

These are something I hadn't heard about and look good. There is a $1 off coupon on their website if you buy them. I'll be looking for them.

I like the pecan ones Big Grin. I wish they made something with cashews.

I keep a batch of cookies in my freezer and just pull out one when I want it. Tiny brownie bites and bitesize cheesecakes work well, too.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

I am a fan of meringue cookies. They are fat free. Granted they are basically just a vehicle for sugar, but I like the crunch.

A favorite lunch box desert is a supremed orange with a sprinkling of dried cranberries. By the time lunch rolls around, the cranberries have plumped up nicely.

I also really like the sugar free jello cups and the fat free pudding cups. The jellos are about 10 calories a piece. With a tiny squirt of Readi-Whip I find them a very satisfying dessert. The puddings are 100 calories, but they do also make a sugar free variety.

An individually-wrapped dark chocolate Dove Promise.

A few Ghiardelli dark chocolate chips and a few almonds...love this combo of flavors!

A packet of brownie bites (3 in packet)...can't remember the brand...I think the packet is 100 calories, but not sure. They are not GREAT, but okay if you're jonesing for chocolate and want to keep it "contained."

A plastic container of fresh pineapple chunks or a fruit salad of your favorite fruits.

Two small Ghiardelli brownies. What I do now and then is bake a batch of Ghiardelli box brownies, cut them in small (about 1X1" squares) pieces and freeze them. Then I can just take out 1 or 2 and defrost 20 seconds in the microwave and they're like fresh!
