Whether you prefer establishing goals by the quarter, week, day or anywhere in between, feel free to use this thread to post your goals and/or discuss how you are doing in meeting them or what challenges you are facing in doing so.

I am currently setting a new list of goals each month toward a big vacation in March, but I am using this thread to do a weekly review of how I did in meeting the goals. This helps me keep my goals more present in my mind.

Please join in and keep track of your goals however you choose to do that!

1. Curves 2 times this week. DID!

2. Make 1 new recipe. MADE TWO NEW RECIPES!

3. Take fruits and veggies to work for snacks!DID!

I felt "on track" this week and am feeling much better. Went out to dinner last night and made "mostly" healthy choices. Wish I hadn't had the garlic bread, but otherwise I did well. Have leftovers for tonight and I will make my healthy version of garlic breadSmiler

January goals:
1. No more than 1 meal out per week.
2. Minimum 160 minutes of cardio per week.
3. Increase intensity of exercise at least 3 of 5 days per week.

My week in review.

1. Did not meet. I ate out twice this week...my usual lunch out on Friday, but also ate lunch out on Thursday. When I don't work hard enough to make my lunches tasty and satisfying, there is the danger that I will blow off the healthy lunch I brought from home and go out. That happens rarely but it does happen. That, plus not feeling well, is what drove me out to lunch on Thursday.

2. Did not meet. Not even close. I made the decision to not do sweaty cardio as I was sick again and I worried that it would make me worse. The only cardio I did this week was on Monday, which was 60 mins.

3. Draw. I didn't do much exercise this week, not close to my usual 5 days, but what I did, I did put effort into, so I'm giving myself a draw vs. a not met.

4 chais so far, 1 day of vitamins...going to miss both bonus opportunities but looking good for the points otherwise. Will make a list of chai ingredients tomorrow and find a time to pick them up this week. Maybe I can make her lower cal version work for me since cutting back isn't going too well. I will say that I skipped chai a couple of times this week because of my goal but it still wasn't enough to get me down to 3x.

On the upside, I continue to be amazed how much progress I've made in the past year about beating myself up about this stuff. Yea, I feel disappointed in myself and that I didn't make my goals this week, but I'm not self-flagellating. This, as Martha would say, is a good thing.

Wonderful job Sheri! I'm so happy for you!

I'm bummed. Got a few days of feeling good from the last thing and then have been fighting a cold since Wednesday. I have allowed it to impact my exercise schedule quite significantly and even ate out twice for no good reason other than I just didn't feel like eating my lunch. I have a tendency to baby myself when I'm sick...in attitude as much as anything else...and that can lead to trouble.

Ok, the holidays are over and I'm back from my trip. I need to get myself back on the straight and narrow a bit. Been pretty lax with all my healthy eating stuff. I'm sure a couple weeks or so of tracking my 5 points a day will get me back on a roll and I think this thread is the perfect place for me to do that. So for this week, here are my 5 points and I'll check in each night and report how I did.

1. Exercise 30+ min
2. Drink 64+ oz of water
3. 5 fruit/veggie servings a day (2 fruit, 3 veggie)
4. Work on BYOYL stuff for 15+ min
5. Post food on What's for Dinner

Bonus points: 1 point for drinking no more than 3 chais, 1 point for 3 days of vitamins this week

If I get 31 or more points by Sunday, I will go get the makings of KD's chai at the health food store.
