I'm back and needing to eat right

We had a very restful week in Florida.

First off though, my condolences to anyone who lived through Wilma. We went over to Palm Beach mid week to visit my grandparents and found my parents' condo totally flooded out. You could actually hear the water rushing down behind the walls. My grandparents faired better but their hurricane shutters were actually twisted up and partially ripped off their windows. Power was still out in most areas and that was quite scary as well. I Hope that by now things on the East coast are getting back to normal.

In terms of eating and such - I exerised almost every day but ate way too much. It was all wonderful though but I need to get back on track right now.

Unfortunately we all came home sick (very bad sore throats) and I'm feeling exhausted. My week ahead is absolutely crazy busy because we're going away again next week for a few days.

This is potentially bad news for me because I'm already feeling stressed and pressured with everything I have going on.

My plan is to get myself to the market and load up on fruits and veggies. I will post a plan tomorrow after I stock up and get serious about getting back into my maintenance range.

The next two months will have me in weight loss mode instead of maintenance mode to counterbalance the travels/holidays and special events. I'm going back to keeping a pen and paper journal for a while.

PS There's no way I'm going to be able to get caught up on everything I missed while I was gone so I'm starting fresh right now.

Welcome back. The market sounds like a good plan.

I had a mediocre night's sleep thanks to my cough but still awoke feeling less stressed and ready to tackle the day.

I feel like I have a new found resolve to get on track and stay there.

I'm up 5 pounds from the trip and that's on top of being a bit over maintenance range. I know that some of that weights is water retention but there was still "damage" done for sure.

I'm actually feeling excited this morning about eating well. We didn't eat any where close the number of fruits and veggies we normally do and that's what my body is craving the most.

Can't wait to get to the market!

PS Being that the 90 challenge is over, I modified my own personal holiday goals. I liked seeing my goals every time I posted.

Smiler Welcome back Brie!! Glad you are home safe. Make a nice pot of soup with lots of garlic. I know that some bug is going around. My daughter was nice enough to be the first to bring it home. Don't stress too much, that won't help you to feel any better. A nice hot bath always helps me when I am not feeling well also.

Me, too. Any day I'm not out of town or at a potluck or party or something... I'll be in weight loss mode.

I did this last year. Ate 20-23 points a day, any day that was a "regular" day and it worked REALLY well for me and I ended the holidays at exactly the same weight that I started.

Figured if it worked last year... might as well go with what works again. Wink
