I cannot believe this happened but I partially tore my Achilles tendon yesterday. After my calf muscle tear and now this I could scream. This is on the opposite leg from the calf tear, and a lot more painful. I have an appt with the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon so I don't know what will happen. Right now it is in a partial cast because the ER did not have the boot thing. And here is the best part and you can go ahead and laugh-this happened at the arcade while I was with dd. We were on a game called Dance Dance Revolution. It is a platform that you stand on and there are squares that light up and you have to tap/jump on them based on the music and the arrows on the screen. Well, I jumped a few too many times because the next thing I knew I couldn't walk. I am just really hoping I don't have to have surgery.

PS: I just realized I did not post homework on Friday. I wanted to do it Thursday night because I knew I wouldn't be home all day Friday but I forgot-Sorry!!!

I am getting the MRI today at 9:15. Fortunately only my legs will be in the machine, I am extremely claustrophobic. Unfortunately, I do not see the orthopedic surgeon until Monday morning so I will be on the crutches until then I'll let you know how it goes.

I will say one for you that surgery can avoided and it will just heal with time.
When I damaged my achilles (and then tore my calf muscle last summer) I still found I was able to get in a lot of upper body and core work laying down on the floor so all is not lost ; )
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.

It does seem that once an ortho injury happens to our bodies, they multiply themselves. Please take care of you.....this will pass, and hopefully without much pain and Surgery.
It's never too late to get it right.
