Apparently our recent storms have made the news in other parts of the country .
They have not had a big impact on me or my family. Mother & Daddy lost power for a couple of hours around 11pm Friday night but I was at Dena's apartment (approx 10 miles away) and we did not.
Dena usually puts the doggies to bed in their crate around 8pm and we don't hear anything from them until morning but Fri. night while we were watching the storm coverage on TV (around 8:30/9) they started whining and barking so we let them out and put them in bed with us. They continued to act nervous until around 10 when they curled up and went back to sleep so we put them back in their bed and did not hear another peep out of them all night. I have often heard that animals can sense an approaching storm and I guess that was what was making them nervous as a storm apparently went by approx. 10 miles to our north at around that same time.
Sat. & Sun were nice although a bit cloudy but Monday morning we had really bad wind storms around Atlanta that brought down a lot of trees. A small airport about a mile from my parent's house recorded wind gusts up to 57 mph.
