Thanks!

The owner of the local organic market had a similar article in their newsletter recently.

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.

I didn't have to log in either. Here is a link I copied and pasted from my "address" line. It looks different than the one I used from Dawn's post.

Weird, I didn't have to log in.

Essentially, it was a letter written to whoever became the new President (it was during the campaign), to tell them that what they aren't talking about in the campaign, that needs to be done, is to secure our food supply. It goes into great detail about how our food supply is linked to our use of fossil fuels. So, if we're really going to depend less on fossil fuels we need to quit industrial farming and feed lot meat raising the way we are.

It also talks about how if we do that we also secure our food supply, because regional food production would affect many less people if terrorists tried to contaminate the food supply than they way it does now on a national and international level.

It also talks about how real food rather than what we're calling food will be more nutritional so it will help curb the cost of health care...

This is a really small nut shell. It was very well written and explains how all of these things and more are all linked.

BTW, I think the NY Times is free even if you have to log in.

I couldn't access the article without a log in.
Care to summarize for us?
