I found out at a meeting last night that everyone I'm going with only wants to walk the 5K.
However...I think I might find another half marathon to do. I really want to work toward that goal. At the very least, I can do the Indy 500 mini-marathon, but that isn't until May. I may see if I can find a Breast Cancer walk prior to that.
Also, since this is my first year going to Memphis for the St. Jude Marathon, I can get a feel for it and maybe do it next year.

If you want to do the Pig, I'll commit. And I could use a roomie, if you can stand my screwy pre-race routine. I admit the Pig is a fun race. (Just spend as much time as you can on as many hills as you can between now and then. Miles 6-10.5 or so are all uphill.)
Hills? In Indianapolis? We don't really have those here.
You mean there are flat places to run????? I need to check this out.
You really need to do the Indy mini, I doubt there's a hill in the whole path. It doesn't get much flatter than here.
I do have one slight hill not far from my house, but really, it isn't a "hill" compared to Atlanta.

Peg, that sounds fun. Can my low altitude lungs take it?
Yeah, I'm sure you'd be ok. It's not at that high of altitude although I'm sure there are some impacts...mostly hydration issues I imagine. They have had it 2 years up there and lots of people travel all over the country to attend these so if they were having too much trouble with it, they would stop that.

And way to go for not giving up on your desire to walk a half!
How funny Laura, I was looking at Flying Pig. The Indy mini is supposed to be great, but it can be hard to get a spot.

Ever since you've mentioned this I've been considering doing the Avon walk again next year and maybe doing 39 miles this time. Haven't totally decided yet. If you want to think about CO in June, I'm game to consider it too. It's a different location/route since I did it in 2006 so that is fun. It's up in the mountains now.
