Geez, it feels like I've been gone forever. I guess it's really been a couple of weeks or so. Been traveling most of this time. Long weekend in Albuquerque for the Int'l Balloon Fiesta (absolutely amazing and I highly recommend you go if you ever get the chance) and then a 10 day biz trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Returned Friday afternoon after an exhausting 13 hour travel day and collapsed in a lump. I picked up a cold on the trip and felt totally crummy yesterday and spent the day in my pjs in front of the boob tube. Felt much better today thankfully.

Food wasn't the worst but certainly was not my usual either. Drank lots of wine and ate dinner out every evening. Was able to do breakfast in my room (thank goodness for room fridges) and a friend took me to the store so I picked up some frozen meals for lunches in the office so it certainly could've been worse. Exercise was the missing piece as usual. I walked a bit to dinner most nights, used the workout room once and swam a couple of other times but not nearly what I usually do. I know I put some weight on because some of my clothes are a little too snug but will probably wait until my usual weigh-in day of Friday to see where I stand. I actually would rather just try to get myself on track w/o some sort of 'moment' around the scale. I know I haven't been doing what I should so even if I didn't put on any weight, I want to approach this as a time when I should be eating cleaner just to bring things into balance.

I've menu planned for the week, made dinner tonight that will also serve as 3 days of lunch this week. I also went for a 30 min bike ride today. I need to get back on track with water and lay off the chai this week. Going to shoot for no more than every other day since I've gotten back to every day on that. Should be able to swing that.

The best thing for me to do at a moment like this is get back to my 5 point plan. Here's what I'm going to do:
1. 30 min exercise per day
2. 5 fruit/veggie servings per day
3. 64 oz or more of water
4. Post in the What's For Dinner folder
5. Take my vitamins

If I get 30 out of 35 possible points, I will buy myself a new cd. I'll go post my day/plan now and find some vitamins to take and it'll be a 5 point day. Smiler

Missed you guys! Thanks for reading my catharsis if you got down this far! Smiler

Welcome back! Sounds like you have a good plan for getting back on track.

Take good care of yourself!

Welcome home, Peg.

I can relate a bit in that tomorrow is my last day of vacation before I return to work and I have not only not exercised nearly as much as I usually would in a week, but I have used vacation as my excuse to eat fatty food a few times this week. While the majority of my meals were healthy and two of my days in Delaware I exercised for 45 minutes, I know that I did not do my best and am also in need of getting back on schedule/plan.

Good going on the plan to do that and on posting for accountability.
