Oh my. September is more than half over! Between homework, karate, soccer, and my own activities, I seem to be always in motion. That's good in a way, but it's stressful in other ways. How are you managing stress these days?

I pretty much stuck to my plan, but should have really passed on either the fruit or the ice cream for dessert. But I did not have seconds of any of the main dish except for the salad, nor did I snack out of the pans while cleaning up. That is a huge victory itself.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

Since I live in stressed out mode, I have been learning to not sweat what I cannot control, to do what I can, and to take everything one step at a time.

Today started great, I got a 5.6 mile run in (and an extra .6 for all the crap I was eating on the weekend), I forgot today is Thursday and don't have a lunch break so lunch was a hot pretzel with cheese sauce. Could have been worse, but it could have been better. I was at school so I went to the place with the shortest line since I only had 10 min. to eat and get to lab.

Tonight is at least dinner home, although my family will be here so everything will be on the table. I have a plan, the big question is can I stick to it?

yesterday was a great day, and i am plannig the same for today.

how do i deal with stress? well, for one thing, more sleep. the other thing i am trying is just putting tings in a different perspective. i am busy --true. but the things that make my days busy are also enriching and meaningful. one day, when the kids are grown, and i don't have to drive here and there, perhaps it will be a loss for me. so for now, i am trying to see it that way, it definitely helps my mood, which can only help my stress level.
i am thrilled that my gym has re-opened. this means i drive less. yeah!

Goals:
1. Enjoy life!
2. Be aware, be awake, pay attention.
3. One word 2010: faith
