I had everything out for a Spicy Orange Shrimp stir-fryish meal.
Except the <curse word> orange juice. And I had eaten the last orange in the house at lunch.
Spicy Lemon Shrimp wasn't quite what I expected.
This weekend, I wanted to make a tapenade for a loaf of French-style whole wheat bread I bought at the market. Got everything out. Except the olives. I'd eaten all but three. Three olives do not a tapenade make.
Challenge Goals: *10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week *Gym time twice a week *Socialize at least once every two weeks.
I forgot to refigure the sugar amount in dh's birthday cake back in August. Would have been okay but I was using unsweetened chocolate, and substituting powdered sugar for granulated because I had run out.
We tried to fix it by pouring homemade fudge topping over top to balance the sweet and the not. Edible but I sure won't do that again.
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
I made a new recipe I found on the internet today. It was supposed to have oatmeal in it. When did I realize i forgot the oatmeal? About 2 hours after the cookies were out of the oven and cooled, LOL!! They were still good-have coconut, chocolate chips, and pecans in them. Next time I'll try to remember the oatmeal.

I ran out of flour when I was baking cookies last week and already had the wet ingredients mixed and an anxious child waiting to cut out and decorate. Not so good. I ended up mixing in a bunch of other flour I had on hand, including some pancake mix ; ) It worked and dh said they were the best cookies I ever made!
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
