Sheri: After reading a bunch of your posts on how you are not loosing anymore weight, even though you are exercising, and portion controll your meals,etc.etc. I came across this article, the person is a W.W. Member, you might have gone into her site or read what she said before, it seemed to me she had the same problem you are having and she states what she did, I thought the article was quite interesting and thought of you.
I used the Wendie plan when I was doing WW and it made such sense that when I stopped doing WW I continued with a similar pattern. Many of you know that I vary my caloric intake each day...I stick to a weekly average, not a daily total. This works great for me, and when I'm actually exercising, I lose steadily. When I don't exercise, I maintain.
Blessings,
Lori

First of all, Littlewhitedove, I am so glad to hear that you have come to a moment of "enlightenment". I am praying that you are able to work with your Dr., a dietician, and a therapist (for the eating disorder and also for the trauma of dealing with chronic illness) and start working towards your goal of a healthy food lifestyle!
Keep checking in here so we can cheer you on every step of the way!
Blessings,
Lori

You know I have always been told I am starving myself fat!!! Sounds stupit I know but I have eatten 1 meal a day for over 20 years. As time went on it got a little worse. The weight just kept coming on. I read this artical and things started to click. I kept saying I still eat the same but 15 years ago I weighed 70 lbs what changed. My body changed.I started this cycle. As I gained weight I ate less. I even go all weekend from Friday lunch to Sunday lunch eatting nothing. The weight just keeps coming. I knew I wasn't eatting right even though I eat mostly healthy. Over the years I have tried to fit more meals in but then I would gain weight and so I would revert to anerexic behavior. My dr, said it was because my body knew the food I put in wasn't going to last on a regualr basis. I start out good. Eat a small brkfast a regular lunch then skip dinner because I felt full. See the scale the next day and go into a panic. Right back to not eatting. Even worse my last test results showed up something wrong in my thyroid and liver. Bad eatting habits and sickness as taken their toll. Now it is time to get help and get back all I have lost. This site has opened my eyes and I know I have a tough road ahead. My illness has moved into a different stage and I am sick to my stomach a lot but I know I have to make some big changes now if I want my body to help me deal with the cronic illness I face.I understand my road will be harder since I can't move about as freely as most. But I know my illness doesn't define me and there are things I can control. Thanks everyone. Quite and eye open tonight. You will never know how much this means to me.

I don't know if this will help you, but despite WW, the FIRM (weights) and step aerobics I was not losing very quickly at all. I have added a walk at lunch to the rest of it and it has made a big difference. I am now losing about a pound per week.
Wow, I just read the article. Funny, I had heard many people on the WW boards speak of the Wendie Plan and didn't know what they were talking about...now I know! It's amazing, cuz when she talks about how she was not losing, I could have written that whole section--our experiences are SO similar.
Thanks again for sharing that.
