While KD is taking a vacation from exercising, the rest of us still have to be good. Especially with the holidays staring us down. Complete the following sentence, then determine a plan of action to accomplish it. We've all got the necessary tools thanks to KD.
Even though this week is frought with calorie bombs and more temptation that I ought to have to face...
Me: I am going to resist the temptation to eat out, to hide any foods that I cannot seem to ignore, and get my behind moving every day this week.
My plan of action is simple:
1. Pack my lunch, leave the money and credit cards at home (no lunch out that way). That'll take care of work.
2. Pull out any DVD, fitness equipment, tennis shoes, etc. that will get me moving (by guilt or desire ) at least a little bit each day this week.
3. Remove myself from the tempation of buffets, cookies and candy, especially the ones in my house that are for company and dinner at mom's.
4. Remind myself that being good means I will have earned the eggnog cheesecake that I am planning for Christmas dinner.
To KD, feel better and come back soon!
To all, a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Holidays, Happy Kwanzaa, or any other holiday that you choose to celebrate. And celebrate in a way that doesn't involve having to unsnap, unbuckle, or unbutton those clothes. You deserve better!

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
My plan is to NOT bake cookies - I've been tempted - even bought stick butter at the store - or IF I do bake, do it on the 24th and take them to my brothers.
I will NOT throw all the hard work out the window. I can try a LITTLE of something without going whole hog.
Enjoy my family (the one in Urbana) and our time off together.
Do the best I can with my family in Toledo and not let anyone upset me - enjoy the moments.
Here's my plan: 1. Brave the arctic temperatures and get us to the gym on our regular schedule (this was REALLY hard this morning as it was 0 when we left and the roads were so-so but we made it : ).
2. Stay on plan all week, including the "expanded" plan for x-mas eve and x-mas day.
3. Don't stress out about the holidays!
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
My week is pretty well absent of any big celebrations. Yet, the pool is down for the week, so I will be walking with the tunes. A friend gave me all of her Richard Simmon's tapes...with the music I love. Bless her. Foodwise, I have been eating take-out since the guys have been gone. Made some pretty good choices salads, grilled meat, vegetables. So I feel good about me that way. I weigh in tomorrow and we'll see, my jeans feel pretty great! Once my family gets home, we are taking off for "home" to see my parents and my bro's family. Sadly,I think this will be our last time to see my mom alive. But, it will be good to have us all together to enjoy and be together. I have to remember to eat during this time...I "forget" honestly, because I am just not hungry. Say a prayer for me there.
But, I'll be around all week until Friday. Take care, stay warm.

1. I will remember that even if I am eating things I normally wouldn't choose as healthy, I can still stop when I am satisfied and before I'm too full. (Stole this from another poster on another board but it spoke to me)
2. I will get 3 more days of exercise in this week (2 down already! )
3. I will choose less alcohol including tonight at happy hour. Wine and no more than 2 glasses a day is my rule of thumb.
