thurs day was my day of eating apple spice cake. had way too much but i was proud to get in a 1 hour run in the morning, and i never stopped mov ing all day. we had a splendid thanksgiving, with the company of friends and fmaily, and then we drove out to see holiday lights afterward. very nice and relaxing, and i felt so so blessed in many ways.

friday started with another 1 hour run, which was tough since it was 30 degrees and windy! yikes!

Goals:
1. Enjoy life!
2. Be aware, be awake, pay attention.
3. One word 2010: faith

I crashed and burned last night. Had a great day until our friends came over. Drank way to much and nibbled on more than my share of sweets.

Going to watch football with friends today - need to be SUPER careful. No alcohol today at all.

Dinner yesterday was very good.
We had 9 humans, 6 dogs and a parrot in attendance.
I ate turkey, corn, squash, mashed potatoes. I had seconds on the squash and taters and about 6 bites of Dena's juice pies.
Did not have any dinner last night; was in the bed by 8pm and slept till 6 this morning. About to go have my ususl breakfast.

I see I did not explain yesterday's reference to making the taters in Semi-Homade style. Instead of peeling, chopping and cooking the russets I had bought (mother had the kitchen tied up) I used the Ore-Ida Steam & Mash Russet Potatoes and added my own seasonings.

I see there is no challenge thread for Thursday Wink(or Friday).

Saturday is our family Thanksgiving Dinner. My sister is providing the turkey and everybody else is bringing sides.
I am making mashed potatoes Semi-Homemade Style Wink. Mother is making corn & squash (because my nephew told her to Frowner) so in order to stay out of her way in the kitchen I bought some Steam & Mash potatoes and will "spice them up" a bit.
Dena made two Juice Pies; one Blueberry/Blackberry and the other Apple Cinnamon.

Actually, we did have a Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday. In response to a question about our plans Dena mentioned to one of the parents at school that we were not having our dinner until Saturday and they insisted we go to their house on Thursday so we did. Dena babysits for them on a regular basis.

I need a plan!

B: whole wheat toast with light cream cheese
L: probably left over turkey sandwiches and a small salad
S: veggie soup
D: I'm going to the market for fish and two veggie side

Challenge: We are having friends over for drinks and dessert after dinner. I plan on a small bite of something and ONE glass of wine.

Exercise for today will be hauling Christmas trees and decorations from the basement and getting the house decorated. I also have a big clean ahead of me today.

PS My ankle has been KILLING me the past few days. Can't wait to get to the ortho on Wednesday morning.
