It's not a holiday weekend, but days that are outside the weekday routine can be challenging anyway. After hosting a sleepover for DS's friend (a dessert-with-dinner occasion), we're going to a cookout event this evening, then a baseball game tomorrow. I won't know anyone at the Saturday event, which is usually trouble -- I eat to cover up the awkwardness. I'm hoping there will be hiking or other activity options to curb that. And at the game, ballpark food doesn't really tempt me. So I'm hoping to have good things to report on Monday!

How is your Saturday going?

Saturday I was really good. I ran 13.7 miles and ate pretty carefully all day.

Sunday I somehow managed to derail, but for the life of me, I'm not sure why. I had plenty of stuff to do yesterday, but I made chicken francese and garlic noodles for lunch. The garlic noodles tasted so good that I went way overboard. Dinner was just tuna salad on veggies, but the damage from the noodles was done.

Today I started off stressed, but my AM run took care of it. Since it's a normal schedule today, my food is all pre-portioned and packed. I can't get into too much trouble today.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

i did pretty ok over the weekend. two buffets in 2 days--i don't really like to frequent buffets anymore but it was my son's choice since his soccer team won. but i had small paltes, and healthy choices. the worse thing i indulged in was hot apples.

Goals:
1. Enjoy life!
2. Be aware, be awake, pay attention.
3. One word 2010: faith

Today was the train wreck of the century. The mother of all chocolate loaves.

Tomorrow is a new day. Onward and upward.

Yesterday was not a success in terms of food or food related goal. Bottom line: it was a train wreck.

Today I am on track. Feeling better and following my plan. Grateful that one bad day does not have to breed another.

I'm still hacking away but in general am feeling better. I ate more normally yesterday and started today with a 3 mile walk. I'm heading out to mow the lawn in a few and then will probably crash.

Food today should be easy.

Tomorrow we're going to a football game so that will be more of a challenge.

So far, so good for my Saturday. Had a nice walk with the dog and then a bit more of a walk with the neighbor and her dog (our dogs are best friends). I'd say about 40 mins total.

Now I am just finishing my breakfast of a combo of shredded wheat and Crispix with peach and skim milk.
