Oops! Sorry this is so late.

It's April, but it's in the 30s outside and their is a new coating of snow. Sunday's Easter finest may not be warm enough.

How does this change your plans? How do you normally handle a disruption of your schedule?

(My husband is home, temporarily, from work, trying to get the furnace going again!)

I guess I should have said that I do o.k. with changes and disruptions. DH on the other hand does not. And so, I'm living with a bear at the moment - mostly my fault.

But having to fix a furnace during the middle of a work day IS a major disruption.

It's on. We're toasty warm again.

Me too - I take it quite personally and usually go down the road of "obviously spending time with me wasn't that important to them". It's especially hard for me when it's my family that does last minute changes.

I, erm...well, I'm just the messenger, don't shoot! Friday, high 73/low 60; Saturday, 69/59; Sunday, 72/60, no rain expected until Tuesday. So...we'll be out and about; we're having some remodeling done right now, and I'm hoping with that kind of weather, we can get the outside painting done when the contractors are gone on Sunday. I'm hoping my trainer will show me some things I can do while walking the dog to make my trips with her more of a workout and less of a saunter (because, given a choice, we both like to saunter rather than power walk).

As far as schedule disruptions...I'm not good at all with them, honestly. It just throws me. When it's out of my hands (like weather or something), it's not nearly the issue that it turns into when it's someone else's fault (showing up late or not at all). Then I get mortally offended at their lack of disrespect...yeah, I blow it WAY out of proportion. I'm trying to be better at it, and at least twice now, we've gone on with our plans when others weren't on time rather than me stewing and stomping about it.

Challenge Goals:
*10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week
*Gym time twice a week
*Socialize at least once every two weeks.

We don't have plans.

My family is not known for planning ahead, much to the chagrin of my sister in NC and me. Last year, I started a month ahead and asked her if she could come. She and her dh found a cheap flight and for once everyone made it and everyone traveled except us.

I tried that again this year, but sis and dh have been traveling so much with their jobs, they wanted to stay home and remind themselves they have a home and a spouse.

I haven't seen my family in Toledo since the middle of January, but I'm miffed. I got a hint that someone was supposed to call (from a quick call to my mom Monday night), but so far, the phone has not rung!

DH couldn't go anyway because he's on call with work. Maybe I'll make some good chicken breasts for the three of us. (NOTE: This is not a boo hoo note.)

As far as Easter and clothing - many times we've crossed the cold front in Findlay on the way to Toledo. Brrrrrrrr!

Our plans remain the same for this weekend. WE got four inches of snow on Tuesday....wet, heavy snow. I hate it. I want to wash the winter coats and gloves and hats and put them away. But....mother nature always fools us in the Dakotas with one last "I am the queen" snowstorm.

That said. How do I handle general disruptions to my plans... usually very well. I can change direction pretty well and easily without too much trouble. I do have a problem with those who don't, can't or won't change with the flow. I can't understand it and generally take it on for myself and my problem that they can't flow with the go. I am working on allowing others not to feel as I do...but there are days.

It's never too late to get it right.

Other than dd's clothing selection, we don't have any changes at our house either.

In general though, I'm not too good at schedule changes. I've gotten better though as I've aged with rolling with the flow a bit more.

No change at our house.

I am okay with changes in schedule, but not changes in routine. (Spring break was a huge problem and I needed an entire week to get back into the swing of things.) While the argument can be made that changes in schedule = changes in routine, it doesn't work that way for me.

They are very different in my world.

I didn't even have plans until last night. I have been invited to a friend's house for brunch.

So, no change.
