Thank you. The January Prevention Magazine has an article on the benefits of pushups. I asked dh opinion on my form (compared to Denise Austin in the magazine). Dh said that I do the most perfect (guy) push up he has ever seen. Made me VERY happy!

You all have worn me out just reading about your workouts! O.K. Really you have put me and my lazy butt to shame! I am hee to confess that I have done absolutely nothing for WEEKS. Probably 2 months of no workouts and I am here to tell you I REALLY need my big butt kicked off the lazy boy recliner and into action! I am a former fitness instructor. I digress! So Bad! Anyway! Confession is over and I am prepared to answer the call to action! Beginning tomorrow I commit to doing SOMETHING aerobically for AT LEAST 15 minutes daily. I know, I know! Baby Steps!!!!! Got It! Now YOU ALL are my accountability partners! I will let you know how my week is going! If I REALLY get into it I should use my body bar and tone as I reduce! Even if it's only 10-15 minutes along with the aerobic workout! I have NO EXCUSES!
I just did my very first ever Billy Blanks Tae-bo workout (Tae-Bo Cardio Circuit 1). <pant pant> Lord have mercy! <sweat sweat> That was a good workout! Except, of course, for the parts I couldn't keep up with...but I did a lot better than I expected when I was sitting on the couch watching it last night.
Then, afterward, I tried to do the 15-minute Tamilee Webb abs workout and laid, spent, on my yoga mat for almost half of it. There is a lot of standing ab work in Tae-Bo so I guess he wore me out!

I solved one problem today; doing pullovers with a metal hex dumbbell was killing my hands. I bought one adjustable, round plate, dumbbell, just for doing pullovers. It turned out to be much more "hand friendly" for that exercise.
I did incline-bench hammer curls again today. At first, it feels pretty weird to start/finish a hammer curl with the dumbbells completly behind your rear.
Another new thing I am trying is static bicep curls. In the bicep curl position, my connective tissue must be very weak, because my elbow pops. At least in my first session, no movement meant no pop, and the ability to use more weight than a full-range bicep curl.

Yes, it's on AIM. I've just bumped up the thread called "Weekly FLYChat" which has all of the details on how this works.

I think those are fine reasons to do cardio.
Makes me feel like a "dieter"... YUK! But, it is the real world right now... Need to burn a few more than I take in! So, I'm glad I did it.

I think those are fine reasons to do cardio. Actually, I think that any reason works. You did it. That is what counts. Good for you. Good for me too as I did a good step work out today.

THis morning, I did WATP...it was the 3-mile DVD but I got up a little late so I did a bit of creative fast-forwarding to finish at the time I needed to finish to get ready for work. In reality, it was closer to a 2 1/2-mile WATP.

Hmm when is it again? I seem to recall it's at a time that conflicts with my schedule.
