Razzer Dh just asked, "What's so funny?" Nothing like a little potty talk!

Using Father's Day as an excuse: Smiler

Today I made Martha Stewart's Thin and Crisp Chocolate Chip Cookies, and rate them as Excellent.

She also has Cakey and Soft And Chewey versions of that cookie, in the previously mentioned book.

I can't remember the last time I made cookies, so I am giving myself a Guilt Free Pass on this one. Smiler

I'm with you. I need 36 cookies like I need more rocks in my head.

You can probably scale the recipe down and make just 6 cookies.

I've found that if I take a recipe and divide it and get about 3 TBS of butter total (1/4th cup is 4 TBS).... that will make about 6 cookies. Also, it seems that MOST cookie recipe servings are divisible by six (24, 36, 48). Smiler

I've done this with MANY cookie recipes now and get good results.

I scaled this brownie recipe for 6 brownies and made them in a loaf pan last weekend and they came out AWESOME. (It helps that it is in the computer, and I just had to put in 6 servings. I also switch it to "metric" and just measure everything on a food scale. Very easy.) It was still megacalories... but very worth it. And we each ate a brownie and I froze the other 3.

Also, even though many cookies can be frozen... Who wants a 2 month supply of the SAME cookie in the freezer?

Speaking of cookies...

I bought the book "Martha Stewart's Cookies" last year, but haven't made a single recipe from it, due to "calorie guilt".

I will have to throw caution to the wind one of these days, and make some cookies. Team Martha has some really good recipes.
