September Challenge Day 30

Can you believe it's the end of September already? On the last day of the month-long challenge, how are you feeling? Was it a worthwhile exercise? Do you want to extend it into a get-ready-for-the-holiday-season challenge?

For me, results are mixed. I'm eating more slowly and mindfully most of the time. I'm snacking smarter, almost never having a morning snack any more. I kept to my training schedule, but fell short of my ultimate race goal. Still, I'm going to call it a success.

Where are you now that September is ending?

I'm with Brie. I started late, and have gotten almost no where with eating slower. I'd like to continue on as well.

The last few days have been good, although Tuesday involved some unplanned pb pretzels because I was really hungry and had over 2 hours until dinner. I was at work and it was the best option of what I had to choose from.

I have noticed an improvement in my running and overall fitness by adding (and sticking to) a planned crosstraining day and yoga on my "rest" days. I actually quit running before I wanted to this AM just because I was afraid to overdo and hamper my post-half recovery week. I'm actually thinking about doing a 10 mile long run on Saturday (I had planned for 8.)

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

i don't always post but it sure helps me just to read what you guys are going through.

i finally got rid of the bag of peanuts i was munching on which feels great. be gone!

i have an evening of driving kids here and there, but about 30-45 mintues of weight training in there also. i have found--i love the evening weight traiing. i arrive kind of dragging my butt. soon, i am pumped up and motivated to continue. the 30 minutes just fly by. it is 45 minutes before i notice the time.
i do find it harder to sleep afterward--takes me almost an hour of tossing and turning before sleep hits me. but i have noticed being more toned, for sure!

Goals:
1. Enjoy life!
2. Be aware, be awake, pay attention.
3. One word 2010: faith

I feel like I lost 1/2 the challenge from being sick. I would love to continue on .

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
