I made turkey burgers for the first time tonight and I thought they were great. If you have a tried turkey burger recipe, what is it? Here is how I made mine.

1 pound ground turkey
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 chopped red pepper
tbs. emeril's creole seasoning
tbs. oil (could use less..they were very moist)
1/4 c. bread crumbs

pan fried them in scant amount of oil for 5 min. per side and finished them in a 400 degree oven for 5 more min. (came to 180 degrees)

They were so moist I know now that I could have used 1/2 the oil. Topped them with homemade chow chow and swiss chess and lettuce.

KD's recipe that is available on the Food Network site is darn tasty. I have made them twice. They are especially good with Woebers spicy mustard.

Just a tid bit...

Some ground turkey is REALLY fatty. It pays to be careful and read labels.
I generally go with ground turkey or chicken breast.

I crumble up a corn muffin and use chili powder seasoning, onion & garlic when I make them. Pretty tasty.
