Get
Great Legs While You Watch TV!
Squats
are one of the single best exercises for the lower body.
Relax and watch your show but when the commercials come
on, get ready to do some squats. Stand with your back to
the chair or sofa. Spread your feet wide and cross your
arms over your chest. As though you were going to sit right
back down again, using your hips and glutes to guide you,
slowly sit all the way back into the seat. Squeeze your
glutes together and stand back up. Be sure your knees do
not go past your toes. This will make sense after your first
squat.
If that's
too easy, lower yourself down to the seat but don't sit,
while you're glutes are hovering just above the seat, hold
your position for two counts and come back up. When you're
ready to graduate to the next level, grab some hand weights,
full water bottles or what ever you have available to add
some weight to the move.
